British cat is domestic cat and it is very lovely cat. British cats are very active. The British shorthair cat is pedigreed version of British of domestic cat. It has the chunky body and broad face. The British cat has the familiar colour of blue and blue gray with copper eyes.
British cat has the medium tail including the tabby and colour point. It remains the most popular in the modern time pedigreed breed in the native country.
British cat has the good appearance and relatively calm temperament.
History:
British cat origins most date back to first century, making it one of the more ancient the breed of cat in the world. These cat then interbred with local European wild cat population. Appearance:

British blue remains the most familiar variant and British shorthair have been developed in other many colour and pattern like Black , blue, white ,cream and golden. All colour and pattern also have the tortoise shell variants.
Temperament:
British short hair cat breed are easy going breed and it is not the playful cat like the other cat breed but it has the sweet natured. This character making them more favorite of animal trainers.
They tends to be safe and around the other pets and children but as a rule do not like to be picked up or carried.
Health:

Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy can be a problem in the breed. A Danish prevalence study with more than 329 cats showed that 20.4% of males and 2.1% of the females had HCM. On top of this 6.4% of males and 3.5% of females were judged to be equivocal.
The breed is thought to be at high risk of polycystic kidney disease. A DNA test lab has noted a significant decrease of the PKD mutations in tested populations.
